Crypto setup scanner
The Setup Scanner checks the largest cryptocurrencies for classic trading setups using real exchange candles. Pick a strategy (breakout, pullback, reversal, trend, momentum, mean reversion, gap or volume spike) and a timeframe from 5 minutes to 1 week, and the scanner lists every coin where that setup is present right now, ranked by a Setup Score.
There is no guessing and no AI on each scan: every result follows fixed rules applied to the candles, such as price closing above the 20-candle high with rising volume for a breakout, or an uptrend pulling back to the 20 EMA with RSI cooling off for a pullback. Each row explains which rules were met. A setup that triggered within the last three closed candles and is still holding counts; breakouts that are close but not yet triggered appear as Approaching.
Visitors can see a real scan stored at least 24 hours ago, labeled with its date, without the entry, stop and target levels. Members run live scans on any strategy and timeframe and see the full levels. The stocks and forex scanners are members only.
Worked example: a pullback setup
The numbers below are an illustration of how to read a result, not a real or current trade.
Suppose a 4-hour pullback scan lists a coin as a Sell Opportunity with a Setup Score of 85. Its reasons read: downtrend bouncing into the 20 EMA, RSI at 46, triggered 1 candle ago and still holding, below the 200 EMA, MACD bearish, volume 3 times average.
Read that as: the larger trend is down, price has bounced back up to a level where sellers often return, and momentum and volume agree. A trader would look for an entry near the current price with a stop just above the recent bounce high.
How to read the results
Setup Score ranks how many of the strategy's rules are met and how strongly. Above 70 means the rules line up well.
Confirmed means the setup triggered and is still valid; Approaching means price is close to triggering but has not yet.
Check the timeframe. A 5-minute setup can be over within the hour, a daily setup can play out over days.
Frequently asked questions
Which coins are scanned?
The 20 largest cryptocurrencies by market value, using real candles from the exchange.
Does the scanner use AI?
No. Each scan applies fixed rules to real candles, so results are consistent and explainable. AI is used elsewhere, for example in Chart Analysis.
Why is the public example at least a day old?
Live setups and their levels are a member feature. The public page shows a real stored scan, dated, so you can see exactly what the output looks like.
Can I scan stocks and forex?
Yes, members can scan stocks and forex with the same strategies and timeframes.
Is this financial advice?
